Meet the Team

Our team is made up of a diverse group of Professional Engineers, EITs, technologists, co-op students, and part-time support staff. We're strategically distributed across the Greater Toronto Area and frequently gather for meetings, team-building activities, and collaboration sessions. While we're a small, tight-knit group, we work with a network of partner organizations to successfully deliver projects for the largest municipalities in Ontario including the cities of Toronto, Mississauga, Hamilton, Ottawa, Vaughan and Markham.

Meet Us

Resilient Consulting is working with the City of Hamilton to enhance emergent vegetation within the Windermere Basin wetland. The goal of this restoration work is to improve wetland habitat and water quality within the basin.

One of the challenges at the site is the presence of Common Carp. Despite ongoing carp management efforts, their feeding activity and disturbance of wetland sediments can make it difficult for emergent vegetation to establish and thrive.

To give new vegetation a better chance to take root, Resilient installed snow fencing on August 5 to exclude carp from designated planting areas. On August 12, Resilient staff joined City staff to plant 500 cattails within these protected areas. The plantings are intended to promote the establishment of emergent vegetation and contribute to a healthier, more resilient wetland ecosystem.

A great team deserves a great day out!

This year, the entire Resilient team came together for our annual company outing at the Toronto Blue Jays game. It was a fantastic opportunity to step away from our projects, connect with colleagues from across the company, and enjoy a summer afternoon together.

To top it all off, the Blue Jays came away with a win, making for an even better day at the ballpark. Here's to another successful year and many more opportunities to celebrate together!

We're excited to share the successful completion of the Cooksville Creek Erosion Control Project at Camilla Road in the City of Mississauga.

Working with the City of Mississauga, our team completed a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Schedule B) and detailed engineering design for the restoration of approximately 200 metres of Cooksville Creek, addressing long-standing erosion concerns while improving the channel's long-term stability and resilience. The preferred restoration solution was developed to stabilize the creek, enhance aquatic habitat, and balance environmental objectives with the unique challenges posed by adjacent private properties and regulatory requirements.

Congratulations to the entire project team, including Adam Nespolo and Dimitri Vogiatzis from Resilient Consulting, for successfully bringing this project to completion!

Join us in welcoming Cody Miault to Resilient!

Cody graduated from the University of Guelph in the spring of 2026 with a degree in Environmental Engineering. Through previous experience in site inspections, environmental monitoring, and project management, he has worked closely with contractors, coordinated field activities, and supported municipal and commercial infrastructure projects across Ontario. His experience with shoreline rehabilitation and erosion and sediment control works helped develop his interest in stormwater management and water resources engineering.

To fill the award show gap between the Oscars and the Tonys, Resilient Consulting Corporation was proud to be a part of the Ontario Public Works Association (OPWA) awards. Congratulations to the project team including the City of Vaughan, Varcon Construction Corporation and Resilient's own Becky Turbitt, Patrick Nagy and Mark Bassingthwaite for the Stormwater Improvements at Gallanough Park and Surrounding Area.

This project serves as an example of how implementation of underground flood reduction infrastructure can be integrated with community park amenities including outdoor fitness facilities, pollinator/community gardens and active playgrounds.

It’s almost summer, which means it’s time to welcome our newest co-op student!

Aidan recently completed his fourth year of Environmental Engineering at the University of Guelph and is joining Resilient Consulting as a co-op student for the next eight months. Through his previous co-op placements, he has gained professional experience in consulting, environmental protection, and water systems research, and is eager to contribute to the Resilient team.

We are excited to have Aidan support our team through the end of the year!

Zara is a 2021 graduate from Carleton University with a degree in Environmental Engineering. She has experience delivering a wide range of projects across Canada, including water resources, environmental and infrastructure projects throughout their lifecycle. Zara has worked with municipal, federal and industrial clients, contributing to field programs, technical reporting and regulatory-driven project delivery in both urban and remote environments.

The Annual WEAO Conference kicks off next week!

Meet our newest team member at Resilient! Although it’s only been two weeks, Jonathan has already made a meaningful impact on our team.

Jonathan recently joined Resilient in March 2026 as Lead CADD Technologist. He is a graduate of Humber College with an advanced diploma in Civil Engineering Technology with over 5 years of industry experience. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to develop company-wide standards and provide AutoCAD Civil 3D assistance. His passion for innovation and keen attention to detail are already enhancing our drawing production processes here at Resilient.

This summer, Resilient worked alongside VASQ Ltd and Greenspace Construction to complete a stormwater pond cleanout for the City of Markham. The project focused on improving pond function and resilience — enhancing sediment storage capacity, restoring flow paths, and supporting long-term water quality and habitat benefits.

This drone video, taken this fall, captures not only the progress of the work but also the stunning seasonal colors surrounding the site. It’s a great reminder of how infrastructure and nature can coexist beautifully when designed and maintained with care.

What an incredible few days at the Municipal Engineers Association Annual Conference last week.

A huge congratulations to Samantha Archibald and Marjorie MacDonald, who delivered an insightful presentation on Urban Retrofit Flood Control in the Cooksville Creek Watershed. Their session highlighted key performance findings from stormwater management facilities during the major storm events of summer 2024 — and the engagement in the room was fantastic!

We’re grateful for the opportunity to share this work alongside our valued partners at the City of Mississauga and Credit Valley Conservation (CVC). Collaborations like these are what make meaningful progress possible.

A proud moment for the Resilient Team! We are excited to celebrate the Gallanough Park Stormwater Management Improvements project being recognized as Project of the Year - Small Category by the Professional Engineers of Ontario’s York Chapter. This achievement reflects the strong collaboration with the City of Vaughan and the shared commitment to building sustainable and resilient communities.

Downspout Disconnection is officially underway! After two years of inspecting and designing downspout disconnection options for the #Region of Peel, we are finally seeing these designs become reality. The goal of this project is to disconnect residential downspouts that are currently connected to the sanitary sewer system to remove “clean” stormwater from the sanitary system. The designs not only alleviate capacity in the sanitary system but also promote infiltration of stormwater while ensuring safe and feasible solutions.

Special thanks to Laura Gerencser and Raminder Samra from the Region for their continued support and guidance throughout this project. And a special shout out to Will McIntyre from Resilient for his dedication and drive in making this project a success!

DYK - Resilient Consulting is qualified in the Drainage and Hydrology category under the Ministry of Transportation Ontario's Registry, Appraisal and Qualifications System (RAQS). We frequently complete hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for highway drainage systems including curb/gutter, ditches, storm sewers, bridges, culverts, ponds and more!

Construction is progressing at Gallanough Park in Vaughan! Installation of a new diversion chamber on a 2100 mm diameter storm sewer, which will divert higher flows to an underground stormwater management facility for attenuation as part of the City of Vaughan's flood mitigation strategy for the area.

Construction is proceeding at McKenzie Park in the City of Mississauga! This project will serve to detain storm flows during major events and reduce flooding in the Cooksville Creek watershed.

As we take time to celebrate Thanksgiving, Resilient Consulting is profoundly thankful for our invaluable clients, such as the Municipality of Lakeshore. Prior to the long weekend, Resilient staff were able to take advantage of the nice weather to complete inspections of ongoing stormwater management facility cleanouts in Lakeshore. Our partnerships with municipal clients is the cornerstone of our success, and we're deeply grateful for the trust you've placed in us to help build stronger, more resilient communities.

Construction has commenced at Stormwater Management Facilities 44 and 96 in the City of Markham. These projects will result in local stormwater quality improvements through restoring the permanent pool of these facilities.
